A gallery at an art museum.One of the most popular destinations in Sarasota is the Ringling Estate, a 1926 home built to mimic the style of a Venetian Gothic Palace. When John Ringling, the owner of the estate, died, he left the home and all of the artwork inside to the state of Florida. Today, it houses the Ringling Museum of Art and the historic Asolo Theater.

A game of polo. For something a little off the beaten track, why not enjoy a game of polo? Founded in 1991, the Sarasota Polo Club is one of the best polo clubs in the region. What started as two small fields has grown to now include over 130 acres of Lakewood Ranch. With seven world-class fields and over thirty private ranches, the polo club covers luxurious lands.

The polo season typically runs from December to April, and there are four to five games played every month. If you want to get more involved with the Sarasota Polo Club, you can try your hand at joining a team! The club offers leagues for both beginners and professional, and even provides lessons for those interested.
